I currently do not accept insurance. However, many of my clients request an invoice for out-of-network reimbursement, which I am happy to provide. Check with your insurance to see if you have out-of-network benefits. Some clients get 80% of the session cost compensated, so it’s worth checking.

My fee for individual is $225/session.
Payment is taken at time of service by credit card stored on file through your secure electronic medical record.

I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. I make exceptions for medical emergencies, as well as if the missed session is rescheduled for the same calendar week (pending availability).

Sessions are 50 minutes.
Longer or shorter sessions can be scheduled ahead of time, with prior discussion, depending on need.

Therapy with me always begins with weekly sessions. This gives me a chance to fully understand your background, history and problem. It also will help you feel better faster, which is the whole point!
It’s difficult to say how long we will meet on a weekly basis, it depends on your unique situation. But typically, when clients are feeling better we will decrease session frequency to every other week, and then once per month.
It’s an ongoing conversation we have together about what feels right.

I would love to welcome you to my sunny office in the heart of downtown Petaluma. Grab a coffee, smoothie, or bite to eat from the shops downstairs and head on up!
If that’s not feasible because of time or distance, I use a secure telehealth platform for virtual sessions.
A hybrid model is an option as well.

I have an eclectic therapy approach, which is just a fancy way of saying I take what I know from a lot of different theoretical orientations, and apply what will work best to your specific issue. I think it is the best way to get effective, tailored treatment that’s right for you.
In general, I do a mix of going deep and really treating the origins of the problem, as well as giving you concrete skills and techniques you can take from sessions and use right away.
